Submitting work and applications
It is emailed to deb [at] windeaters.co.nz with the label Team XXX Proposal.
The proposal is on time so long as it is the due date anywhere in the world. New Zealand is the first country in the world to see the sun, so the due date will be 11pm on the following day New Zealand time. You can check out dates and time zones for all of your team members on Meeting Planner – Find best time across Time Zones (timeanddate.com)
Only one person in the team submits the team proposal, usually the team leader. The team decides who will submit it.
On the cover page of your proposal include the names of all the team members who contributed to it, the country they are currently studying in, and if English is a first or second language. The team leader decides whose name goes on the proposal in consultation with the team, and this will depend on the level of contribution to the team effort.
Submit your reflection with this link Login Page (geebiz.org). It is expected to be one-page but may go up to 1000 words. Use your main email address and GEE ID to log in. Click on the upload button, and attach your file. The system will automatically label it correctly and upload it. Team members are responsible for uploading their own reflection.
You have the option of applying for NZ$4,000 of seed funding to make your team proposal happen. You may wish to apply on your own or with another team member. It is unlikely that the whole team would be involved in making the proposal happen.
We will already have your team proposal, so this application is expected to be under 200 words and is optional.
The funding can cover some or all the cost to get your venture underway. If you need additional initial funding you will need to say how much, and where that funding will come from. You will also need to show your budget for the set-up costs.
Tell us if your proposal is to start the venture, or to run a pilot to raise your credibility to attract the support you need to start the venture. Your proposal must relate to your team proposal, but it can be in a different country or modified in other ways. If you plan to modify your proposal, then you will need to explain how it is different from your team proposal.
Lastly, we need to know what you expect to achieve from the initial investment, and why we should invest in you. You can read the questions here.
Click this link for guidance to complete and submit your 360° Feedback of you and your colleagues peer-leadership efforts, or read it below:
Yes. Include scores for yourself. We assess the 360° feedback both including and excluding you own scores. We also note if your self-assessment is wildly different from your colleagues' assessments of you. Include written feedback for yourself on what you did well, and what you would do to improve.
There are eight screens to fill in. The first five look very similar, but each one has a different focus. The first one asks you to share out 80 points on contribution to creativity, the second one on contribution to productivity, the third one on problem solving and decision making, the fourth one on fostering team unity, and the fifth one on uplifting other team members to succeed. Note the red writing in the screen below:
The most likely issue is that you are scoring your eight team members out of a maximum score of 10. Instead you need to share out 80 points, so some will get more than 10 points and some will get less. Below is an example of how to do this.
