The 2010 High Schools Global Enterprise Experience will be run in May 2010, the date is to be confirmed.  Students will be formed into multinational teams who will communicate via the web.  Each team will have a pair of Nigerian high school students who are being trained as youth leaders to tackle the social and economic challenges in their country.  (See 7-Point Academy ).  Teams will assist the Nigerian students to design and develop a viable concept proposal for a socio-economic challenge in their country.

Enrolments are open now.  Go to the "Enrol" tab and select the high school programme.

A pilot contest was held in May 2009 with high school participants from New Zealand, Lithuania, Rwanda, Nigeria and Russia.

The aims of the contest are to:

  • Develop global leadership capacity in youth
  • Develop awareness and skills in tackling the socio-economic challenges in developing countries
  • Provide an avenue for high schools to provide project based learning and integrated curriculum learning in their schools.  For more information on these concepts please see www.projectlearning.org.nz.
  • Provide New Zealand schools with a quality education experience to achieve NCEA credits.  Please see "Use of GEE for NCEA credits"
